Okay, I'm just going to put this out there and let everyone know that I have no idea what hairstyle we're doing for Christmas this year. None. I've been mulling over some ideas however, when it comes right down to it, it's all going to depend on how much time we have Saturday before Christmas Eve service. And if I don't get myself more organized between now and then, we'll probably end up with just two puffs!
We finally removed the yarn from the "Yarn Twist-Out" (photo below) and gave Boo's hair a good cleansing. After a month of wearing the original style, her hair was still well-moisturized, albeit a little dirty. The only issue that I had with taking this style out was the fact that it was extremely tangled due to the fact that I tried a different yarn this time. (I have a lot to say about that, but I'll save it for another post.)
Suffice it to say that we did get her hair cleaned and detangled, even if the detangling took longer than expected. My plan was to band the hair for a few days and then see what I have time for this weekend.
Boo specifically requested that I use "all the colours of the rainbow" to band, and that the bands "cover all of the hair." So this is what we ended up with. She loved it!
However, I thought it looked a little sloppy, so we compromised on pulling them back into a ponytail and tucking them under in the back.
I will, of course, keep you posted on what we decide to do this weekend.
Do you already have hair planned for the holiday? If so, what are you doing? I'm always open to suggestions!
